Passo Gardena.

The col at Forcella de Ciampei is an incredible place with wiews into Vallunga to the north and this view down to Colfosco in the south.

Heading on towards the Puez hut, the grandeur of Vallunga comes into view.

The descent into Vallunga is spectacular.

Beyond my hiking buddy one can see the steeper descent I had taken the year before.

There are some unusual fir trees in Vallunga.
