Day 6, A bike ride, mainly off road, from Corralejo in the north east to El Cotillo, in the north west. We hadn't gone far before we were up against a strong headwind. The weather had changed in the last couple of days and the wind direction had gone full circle. On the day it was coming from west south west, ie head on for the first half of the route. My mate was suffering from a couple of injuries so he decided to stop part way along so he could have an easy journey back with a following wind. So although the route along the coast was fairly flat it was hard work against the wind. After a brief lunch break in Cotillo the route back through the volcanoes was dramatic.
