A low level ride on bridleways and minor roads on a cold day in southern Lakeland. Starting opposite the Lyth Valley Country house , following a track around the northern end of Whitbarrow Scar , then on a minor road to Yewbarrow. Off road on Yewbarrow down to Witherslack. A long section of minor roads through Meathop and Lindale, then bridleways and more minor roads to High Newton. The route up to Simpson Ground and Sow How is on tracks. The next section is a nice bridleway onto Raven's Barrow followed by tracks to Strawberry Bank. The final off road sections are pleasant bridleways to near Winster. The last part of the ride is on minor roads through Crossthwaite back to the start.
