Starting from Staveley in Cartmel on the forest road up through Astley's Plantation

Out of the forest and the view to the north west

From Sow How, the delightful bridleway leads up to...

The monument on Raven's Barrow

Then a track to the north east to meet the minor road

Serious forestry machinery

Back into Astley's Plantation on a bridleway

Some spectacular fungi in places

Deep ruts on the descent

Out in the open

A final section in a stream bed (slippery)

Over the railway and up through the woods into Wintering Park

Nearly fell asleep...

To Greenodd and over the bridge above the Leven estuary

The final bridleway above Backbarrow that leads down to Newby Bridge

Should have used the wooden bridge- the track to the side was axle deep !

Finishing at Fell Foot
