Then we were into the fog for the next half of the trip and that's where the GPS was invaluable as we were both new to this route

Past Turton and Entwistle reservoir

Out of the murk at last for a well earned break

A steep ascent out of Whitehall, then back onto the moor

Out of the woods and downhill back to Ryal Fold
