Day 2, Hanoi

Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum, an impressive site including the simple house he used to live in.

Also including the one pillar pagoda.

Then we had our first ride around West Lake to familiarise ourselves with the bikes and the traffic.

Hanoi street scenes.

Later we saw one of these balloon sellers on the back of a motorcycle.

How much can you get on a bicycle ?

Colourful temples.

The water puppets were amazing, here just before the start of the show.

Each side of the stage was a group of musicians.

The show consisted of a series of sketches of rural themes.

At the end of the show the puppeteers revealed themselves.

Hoan Kiem lake.

The reunification train line squeezes through the streets of the old town and there are cafes at the trackside.
